Star Wars: The New Republic

Episode II, Part II: Mama's Jizz Box

The New Republicans

With Imperial Customs on their tail, an unknown enterprising scoundrel contacts the Senator and offers his assistance. In exchange for 10,000 credits, he’ll hack the ship’s computer to wipe the transponder code, thus wiping the ship’s ID. The crew agrees, but Aniro can’t lose visual contact from the Imperial freighter, so they opt to escape into hyperspace. Before they can blast off into the middle of nowhere, the ship sustains a bit of damage from pursuing TIE Fighters.

Unfortunately the ship collides with a Sorosuub scout ship, dropping out of hyperspace, but the_ Senator_ is no worse for the wear. Algae remembers he has a friend, an old Bith band mate who might be able to pick them up and take them back to Clak’dor VII. So he calls up An’imol, who’s left the jizz life and started up a family. At first he’s not interested in “joining the band” and will only help out for credits. Using his entry codes (he now works in an Imperial AT-ST factory), An’imol takes the crew back to his house outside the main domed city. But when the Bith hears that the band has a gig playing at the Imperial Holonet Station, he can’t pass up the opportunity and begs to join.

At the Imperial Holonet Station, the crew introduces themselves as Mama’s jizz Box, a studio session band who is scheduled to record music. Algae manages to button-mash something in the lobby admin’s calendar that vaguely resembles a date, so she refers them to Lazard, a busy Imperial newsman. Lazard tries to understand the situation, but won’t move forward with Dundalk and Sarge’s claims without checking proper channels. So he puts them into a recording booth to wait. Sarge stalks him close behind in the busy office, and sees him clicking away at a computer screen.

Meanwhile, Algae does a bit of investigation and discovers that all broadcasting takes place on the second floor of the building, which is restricted access. In attempt to forego exploring upstairs, Sarge slips the New Republic holodisc into a basket bound for the broadcast floor, along with another backup segment that may get bumped. Lazard comes back and informs the band that there are no such orders from a Moff that scheduled them, and if they ever return they will be met with force.

As fate would have it, the crew huddles around their holoviewer and do not see the New Republic reel. Without saying a word, and only using hand signals, Sarge leads the group back inside the station unseen, and standing at the restricted access elevator.
